Ms. Iris is an experienced performer and music teacher, whose students have gotten top scores in international music exams. A native of Taiwan, Ms. Iris has won competitions: 1st prize in the annual Piano Concerto Competition the prestigious Soochow University, which earned her a tour of Taiwan; and 2nd prize in the Piano Concerto Competition of The National Taiwan Academy.. She earned a scholarship by the Piano Fest Music Festival of Long Island, where she had the opportunity to study with two internationally renowned pianists, Sergei Babayan and Paul Schenly.
Ms. Iris then studied with well-known pedagogue Julian Martin, at the Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University, where she obtained both a Master of Music degree and a Graduate Performance Diploma. Ms. Iris is current music director at Christ Church, in Shrewsbury. She has been pianist for the Chinese American Music Ensemble, and has served as music director of Christ Presbyterian Church, Martinsville, NJ. |
